About us

We are Nik and Renée.  A married couple with a small rescue dog (Freddy) currently residing in Toronto, Canada.  We each grew up in smaller Ontario towns and are in the process of fixing up an old farmstead within a small town, located in Nova Scotia.  We’ve been lucky enough to have had several once in a lifetime experiences but are interested in having many more.  This website was set up to reflect upon these past experiences, what we’re currently up to and what we hope to achieve in the future.  In this fast paced technological world we live in, it can be a challenge to truly express how you feel or go deeper on certain topics - this site is designed to be a hub for those interested in getting to the core of who we are, what we’re trying to do and why we’re trying to do it.  In this exercise, we hope to become better story tellers and inspire anyone who might be looking to lead a similar life but is scared about those first steps.  In other ways, we are absolutely terrified to be posting about these deeply personal moments in our lives, to be transparent on any failures and show any vulnerabilities.  But from this comes truth and relatability in the fact that we’ve all had hardships and moments to overcome in our journeys.
